About Beau’s Pet Hotel

Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and DayCare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy DayCare, Grooming services as well as Beau's Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.

All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specalised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services. 

About the role

We have a pawsome new opportunity to join our fun and animal loving team at Beau's Pet Hotel. The Senior Animal Attendant Day Care works closely with and supports the Day Care Team Leader in coordinating and creating amazing day care experiences for our furry guests every Monday to Friday.

The hours are 32.5 hours per week, working a rotating roster (Week 1: 7am - 2pm, Week 2: 11:30 - 6:30pm). When you are rostered to work a public holiday - public holiday rates apply.

You will work closely with our leadership team, each with expertise in different areas of animal care, with sound understanding of dog temperament and behaviour.  

With opportunities to undertake Team Leader higher duties, we are seeking candidates with sound people leadership skills and experience leading small to medium teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Positively support with the coordination of Day Care Pen Attendants in providing daily care and activities to dogs attending doggy day care. 
• Undertake Temperament testing of dogs before and during day care activities.
• Provide professional communication regarding pets to their owners.
• Perform daily checks, reporting and other operational duties.
• Manage and provide enrichment activities and specialised care to all pet guests.
• Provide high level communication to managers and team members.
• Deliver memorable customer service.

Beau’s is a 365-day per year service, there may be requirements to work across other areas of the business to meet operational demands.

About you

You enjoy being part of a team and motivating others to deliver top care and fun activities for our pets and customers. You are an amazing communicator with exposure to social media to support with keeping our wonderful pet owners updated with their pets experiences.

To ensure our guests receive the best care possible, you must have a minimum qualification of Cert III in Animal Care/Husbandry or equivalent. Higher qualifications in animal behaviour as well as leadership experience and qualifications and/or experience in a day care setting will be highly regarded.

You will also have a thorough knowledge and experience with dog behaviour and temperament, with demonstrated animal handling skills.

We are looking for someone that is highly reliable, organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and mature minded with excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.

A current Driver’s License and Police Check will be required.
