About Beau’s Pet Hotel

Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and DayCare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy DayCare, Grooming services as well as Beau's Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.

All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specalised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services. 

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Animal Attendant, qualified in the Animal industry, to coordinate day to day Animal Attendant tasks in providing exceptional care to our furry guests staying at Beau’s Pet Hotel. You will work closely with our leadership team, each with expertise in different areas of animal care and behaviour.

With opportunities to undertake Team Leader higher duties, we are seeking candidates with sound people leadership skills and experience leading small to medium teams.

The hours are 25 hours per week, working Friday - Monday. Weekend and public holiday penalty apply.

Key responsibilities:

• Positively coordinate a team of Animal Attendants providing feedback and technical support in their day-to-day duties of animal husbandry including cleaning, feeding, and grooming.
• Provide professional communication regarding pets to their owners.
• Perform daily checks, reporting and other operational duties.
• Manage and provide enrichment activities and specialised care to all pet guests.
• Provide medication and basic first aid to animals where required.
• Provide high level communication to managers and team members.
• Deliver memorable customer service.

Beau’s is a 365-day per year service, there may be requirements to work across other areas of the business to meet operational demands.

About you

You enjoy being part of a team and motivating others to deliver top care for our pets and customers. And you love dogs and cats!

To ensure our guests receive the best care possible, you must have a minimum qualification of Cert III in Animal Care/Husbandry or equivalent. Higher qualifications in animal behaviour as well as leadership experience will be highly regarded.

You will also have a thorough knowledge and experience with dog behaviour and temperament, with demonstrated animal handling skills.

We are looking for someone that is highly reliable, organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and mature minded with excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.

A current Driver’s License and Police Check will be required.
