About Beau’s Pet Hotel
Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and DayCare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy DayCare, Grooming services as well as Beau’s Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.
All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specalised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services.
About the role
We have two newly created permanent part-time positions for energetic, skilled, and experienced Animal Attendants to provide exceptional care to our guests at Beau’s Pet Hotel across our daycare and boarding facilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care to all our pet guests
- Day to day animal husbandry – cleaning, feeding and exercising
- Provide mental and physical enrichment activities and specialised care
- Work as an integral member of the Beau’s team
We have two permanent part-time opportunities available with the current work schedules:
Animal Attendant 1 – 26 hours/week
- Sunday – Boarding rotating 6:30am-1:15pm & 1:30pm-8:30pm
- Monday – Boarding rotating 6:30am-1:15pm & 1:30pm-8:30pm
- Tuesday – Daycare 8:30am-3:30pm
- Wednesday – Daycare 8:30am-3:30pm
Animal Attendant 2 – 26 hours/week
- Monday – Daycare 8:30am-3:30pm
- Thursday – Daycare rotating 8:30am-3:30pm
- Friday – Boarding rotating 6:30am-1:15pm & 1:30pm-8:30pm
- Saturday – Boarding rotating 6:30am-1:15pm & 1:30pm-8:30pm
You will also have the opportunity to pick up additional hours in either area, up to 38 hours per week in total.
Please note you will still be required to work your rostered hours over peak periods (i.e. public holidays/Christmas period).
About you
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience working with animals in dog daycare and boarding facilities. A minimum tertiary qualification of Certificate III in Companion Animal Care (or similar qualification) is required.
With the requirement to undertake Senior Animal Attendant shifts, you will also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and temperament, with demonstrated animal handling skills.
A current Driver’s License and Police Clearance will be required.
