About Beau’s Pet Hotel

Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and DayCare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy DayCare, Grooming services as well as Beau’s Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.

All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specalised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services.

About the role

The role of the Maintenance Volunteer will be to work closely with management staff to assist with minor maintenance in and around the Beau’s Pet Hotel facility.

Key duties to the role include:

  • General light duties including gardening, assembling equipment and painting
  • Minor carpentry repairs
  • Replacing broken items such as door locks
  • Furniture repairs
  • Putting up wall hangings
  • Ad-hoc jobs as requested

About you

Essential requirements of this role include:

  • Experience in minor repair work
  • Experience working with tools
  • Physically fit and able to carry out work in a safe manner
  • Competent in working autonomously and unsupervised
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Good communication skills

A current Driver’s License and Police Clearance will be required.
