About Beau’s Pet Hotel

Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and DayCare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy DayCare, Grooming services as well as Beau’s Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.

All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specialised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Daycare Team Leader to supervise day to day operations and provide exceptional care to our canine guests who have been lovingly placed in day care by their owners. You will have a creative mindset looking for ways to maintain and grow the Day Care clients and service. You will be working closely with our leadership team, each with expertise in different areas of animal care and behaviour.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise Doggy Daycare staff through effective induction, clear work and task assignment, performance monitoring and ensuring a high level of animal care, professionalism and customer service are maintained.
• Provide confident, patient, positive and interactive people and animal leadership and lead by example.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction for Beau’s valued Daycare customers
• Operate Daycare service efficiently and effectively to meet performance targets
• Complete rostering and staff time sheets for all Daycare Team members ensuring required staff numbers are on shift to meet daycare numbers
• Ensure routine mental & physical enrichment activities and specialised care to all doggy daycare guests are undertaken and provided, including providing medication and basic first aid when required.
• Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety in an animal care setting.

About you

It is important our Daycare Team Leader is suitably qualified, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role to ensure the Daycare team is supported in providing exceptional care to pets entrusted to us.

You will also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and temperament, with demonstrated animal handling skills.

We are looking for someone that is customer-focused, highly reliable, organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and mature minded with excellent customer service with sound communication and problem-solving skills.

A current Driver’s License and Police Clearance (cost covered) will be required.
